Following a grant from Viridor Credits Uffculme Bowling Club started Short Mat Bowling in October 2010. An initial 27 members played twice weekly through last winter and during the summer. This October saw Short Mat Bowling become a section of Uffculme Bowling Club and we are hoping to attract local families to take part.  

We are having 14 year 6 students from Uffculme Primary School in for sessions ( four up to Xmas) on Tuesday mornings, with four Short Mat members assisting in teaching them the basics of the game. A further 14 students will be having four weekly sessions in the New Year. Further news/developments regarding advertising to encourage families to take part will be forthcoming on this website.

Short Mat Bowling, and Outdoor Bowling, are sports for ALL ages and the Club will welcome new members this coming year, which is our Centenary Year.
